Why Boulder and Denver Patients Choose Ikigai
Most primary care physicians in Boulder and Denver manage 2,000–2,500 patients. That leaves roughly 15 minutes per visit — not enough time for the kind of deep, proactive assessment that actually changes long-term health outcomes.
Ikigai is different. We are a concierge longevity practice built around a simple premise: the earlier you identify risk, the more you can do about it. Our Boulder patients aren't waiting for symptoms. They're getting ahead of heart disease, metabolic dysfunction, cognitive decline, and cancer — years before those conditions become clinical problems.
This is not a wellness spa or a generic "executive physical." It is real clinical medicine, practiced by a physician who specializes in longevity — not a health coach or a stretched PCP.

Dr. David Saintsing, MD — Longevity & Preventive Medicine, Boulder CO
Meet Your Boulder Longevity Physician
Dr. David Saintsing spent more than 25 years as an emergency medicine physician witnessing what happens when health risks go undetected for too long. The patients who arrived in crisis were rarely unlucky — they were the predictable outcome of disease processes that had been developing silently for years. That realization is what led him to co-found Ikigai Health Institute, and it continues to shape how he practices medicine today.
At Ikigai, Dr. Saintsing focuses on identifying risk earlier and intervening with precision. Using advanced cardiovascular and metabolic diagnostics, longitudinal data, and individualized strategies, he works with executives, entrepreneurs, and driven individuals who want a more rigorous, proactive approach to their health — one that prioritizes performance today while protecting long-term healthspan.
Dr. Saintsing began his clinical career in 1999 and has practiced emergency medicine across a wide range of health systems nationwide. Across these diverse environments — from community hospitals to larger systems — he observed the same pattern repeatedly: patients arriving at the point of no return from conditions that had been detectable, and often modifiable, years earlier.
A former competitive triathlete, active investor in healthcare innovation, and lifelong believer that healthspan matters as much as lifespan, Dr. Saintsing brings both clinical experience and personal commitment to every patient relationship.
